AB1161 RACIAL AND GENDER - BASED DIFFERENCES IN THE PREVALENCE OF METABOLIC COMORBIDITIES AMONG PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS PATIENTS

Background Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory that develops in at least 5% of patients with psoriasis. It affects women and men equally. Obesity, diabetes, hypertension hypercholesterolemia always affect PsA patients. Objectives To study the gender race effect on prevalence metabolic comorbidities among Malaysia. Methods This restrospective study. The medical records all under rheumatology clinic Hospital Sultan Ismail Pakar Sultanah Fatimah follow up from 1/1/2009 to 31/12/2022 were reviewed. Data demography, type skin disease, joint manifestations past history obtained analysed using Chi Square test SPSS. Results We identified 226 110 male (male female ratio 0.95). Malays (128/ 226) majority followed by Chinese (57/226), Indian (38/226) others (3/226). Most them plaque psoriasis (181/226). commonest involvement was peripheral (174/226), axial (25/226) both (27/226). according vs female) were: [48/110, 44% 57/116, 49%; p =0.407] for hypertension, [35/110, 32% 37/116, 32%; p=0.990} diabetes mellitus, [63/110, 57% 65/116, 56%; p= 0.851] dyslipidemia. There no association between mellitus races (Malay non Malay) were:[58/128, 45% 47/98, 48%; p=0.693] [40/128, 31% 32/98, 33%; p=0.822] [75/128, 58% 53/98, 54%; 0.498] ethnicity comorbidities.
